The Playwrights and Authors who lived during William Shakespeare's life were truly groundbreaking. This was the Renaissance. The time of new ideas and new learning. The World was opening up and people were travelling and in particular the English. The following Timeline is only approximate as there are insufficient records from the period to be completely accurate. The Timeline is however extremely interesting as it clearly shows the dominance of Shakespeare's works in this period amongst his contempories of the time.
